Comments Despite the time, this race was considerably better than last year. I was hoping to run under 1:11 which I was certainly anticipating doing without question, even with quarter mile remaining. PRed my 10 mile coming through under 54 mins which was motivating. Not quite sure where it fell apart because I was never feeling out of form. From the start I was running in no-mans land with a large pack of faster runners running around 107-109 pace; closest guy behind me was 2 mins back. My rhythm felt great, but just isn't worth it without the competition. Perhaps I should have grown a pair and went for 109 and died miraculously. Felt great and probably had 4-5 more miles in me before 5:30 would be too difficult to hit. Managed 15th this time around while almost a minute slower l ast year got me 8th. Maybe this is a sign that its time for the marathon.
