Comments Schulkill River trail + River Banks adding on an extra 1.5. No watch today just ran by feeling. My legs were a little heavy from yesterday, but my heart rate was slow and steady. Just stayed relaxed the whole way and enjoyed the nice weather for once.

Tue August 30th - Tempo Run - 10mi

Comments Met with Bryn Mawr for the Tues night workout. ran to the Roxborough track for 10 x 800 with 200m active recovery. The group wanted to make it a progression type effort. We started just a bit slower then tempo pace for the first 4 before dropping it down. The rest was averaging around a minute. I was nice to run with a good group of people on the track again. I miss it. By the time we hit 7 I really wanted to pick up the pace but we still kept it very conservative for the night. Its probably better that way but I was still able to convince a final interval of 2:26 which was refreshing. Great to get the legs moving a little bit, was never breathing very hard at all. Felt smooth and relaxed, good tempo day.

Comments Improvisational run to avoid the overflowing Scuylkill. Most of the river route is impassible without swimming, so I headed to the high grounds for some trails and tree hoping in Belmont.
