Comments 2 miles warm-up at Temples Track after 8 hours in the studio mixing plaster and carving foam. 92 degrees at the start. Felt steamy, but Ill have to get over it quickly since it will likely be 20 degrees warmer in a month down in NC for the race. Today was my first real taste of speed, Focusing on some 800 training for the next month to prep my legs for quick times and short recovery. workout today was 2 x 200 (Interval pace: 34 sec, with 200 jog), 800 (Interval pace: 2:16), 600, 400, 300 (Fast pace; took 5 mins in between each). Ran too quick through the 800. Decided to drop the 6 for a 400 to make sure I got through as much of the workout on pace as possible. A bit of a shock to the system. Got cotton mouth after the first 400 and a screaming headache after the second 400. Calves are tight, but this will be out of my system by the coming weeks. Cool down for 1 mile.
