Comments Muggy morning run. Boxers trail loop from Ridge. Been a while since I made it to these trails. Was hoping the trees would keep me cooler than running on pavement. Helped a bit but energy compensated by working harder on the hills. The west river trails were decorated out for the "Electric Run." never heard of it but the trails were lined with 10' tall inflatable lightbulbs with strobe lights flickering from the interiors. There were also lights hanging from the overhead trees and large scaffolding arching the pathways. Had to walk a bit in the final two miles as it got harder to breathe with the sun heating up.
