Thu December 26th - Easy Run - 11.4mi

Comments Meadowlark-shallowford-grapvine/conrad-robinhood. Low motivation turned to excitement to be on the old loop near pafftown. Reminiscent of the good old training days. Minimal pain on lower left tibia before run. Felt fine after loosening up.

Wed December 25th - Easy Run - 5mi

Comments Light pain above left ankle. Went to treadmill at gym to test it out so as to not get stuck with a long walk home if injured. felt fine after warming up, despite feeling tired and unmotivated. Decided to call it short today, however it still felt as long as a 10 miler.

Tue December 24th - Easy Run - 10mi

Comments Salem Lake. Headed out towards the pavement trail to add on 3 miles to the normal 7. Hit the first river crossing, rushing with water about knee deep. Decided to go for it and made the cross. Turned the corner and the remainder of the path was flooded. Had a change of heart and decided to cross back over the river and head back to run loop in opposite direction. Felt stupid for drenching my shoes with cold water just a mile into the run however dried out quick in the warm sun. Temps in high 30s low 40s, about perfect conditions. Added more time on pavement trail the second time around to hit 10. Will never get tired of Salem lake.

Comments Rain run from waterford to brookberry farms via dull road and meadowlark. Pouring rain and temps in 60s. Feeling drained from yesterday's runs. Started feeling good by half way as adrenaline kicked in, dodging cars and landing in soft mud along the shoulder.

Comments Salem lake long run cut short. Got out way too fast being excited to run on great trails for the first time in a while. Started feeling tired by half way, backed off second half. Went into second 7 mile loop hurting. got around 2K out before turning back, knowing I would be trashed if I continued. Ran with a shirt off, humidity was also a shock to the system. Need some more recovery as the mileage continues to increase.
