Comments The greatest worst race of my life. Underperformed for a slew of reasons I don't care much to get into. Running in Boston 2014 was the greatest sporting event I have ever witnessed or will likely witness in my lifetime. Went out on pace feeling sharp and relaxed through 10 (just under 59). This was not overambitious by any means, especially on the fast downhill first half of the course with deafening support from every on looker and mobs of qualified athletes on every side of me. Locked up early and made for a long walk home. Not even the perfect day could save me. Wish I was good to go, would have been thrilling to hold pace with that kind of support, but I cant complain. I walk/jogged the final 10, limped home in shame. There is no scenario where I could imagine being over 3 hours, but thats how it goes in 26.2. I will be back, cranking out 2:30s in the near future. Looking at you Lehigh.
