Comments Decided to go to the gym to test how I was feeling today after recent sickness. Workout was 5 rounds of 3 power cleans (100lbs), 6 push-ups, 9 air squats. (As many sets as possible in 3 mins rounds with 1 min rest). Made it through 19 even. Finished with 5 sets of 5 bench press at a low weight.

Fri June 6th - Easy Run - 8.6mi

Comments River loop after lifting. Still feeling out of it. Went to bed around 7 last night and woke up 10 mins before work at 9. Still not 100% but much better. Could barely move the last two days, just struggling to stand up at work. Not sure if I caught a bug or just overworked. Either way Im on my way back.

Tue June 3rd - Aerobic Capacity Intervals - 5mi

Comments Bryn Mawr group workout on the grass loop. Really hot and humid out today. Workout was 5 x 800 (10K pace), 100 steady, 300 (mile pace). Not a good day for me. I had horrible lactic acid build-up in my core muscles. COuldnt hold form and lungs were tieing up. Made it through about 2 sets before I was useless. Finished up with 8 strides on the soccer fields to try and get something out of today. I will attribute this to the lifting acclimation over the past weeks. Still quite sore and worn down. Hopefully I will see the benefits of this in the coming weeks. Very demoralizing to break down so early in a workout.

Workout: 400m run, 30 burpee to bar, 400m run, 30 pull-ups, 400m run. FInished up in 13:46. Cruised the 4s at 6 min mile pace comfortably. Burpees hurt, made everything else more difficult than it should have been. Finished up with ring dips, false grip pull-ups.

Comments Schuylkill River loop + River Banks from Ridge. Felt great this morning, perfect weather. There was a bike race going on throughout the city, so all of the major road ways were closed, making for a quiet morning. Never felt strained, naturally picked up speed towards the end. Last 4 mile were hit in around 6:40. First enjoyable morning run in a long time.
