Fri March 6th - Hill Run - 10mi

Time of day 8:00 PM
Distance 10.00 mi
Shoe Supernova Sequence 5 (ASN)
Comments Treadmill run. Surprisingly dont mind the inside run. About 6-8" last night, all paths are iced over and not worth risking. Kept it comfortable for the first 20 mins. Followed by raising incline 1% every 5 mins. Got to 7% incline and back down to 0% at 55 mins, cooled down the remaining time. Im trying to simulate holding pace at the top of heartbreak. Its amazing how easy the pace feels after backing down from 7-0%.

Wed March 4th - Strides - 14.1mi

Time of day 6:00 PM
Distance 14.10 mi
Shoe Supernova Sequence 5 (ASN)
Comments 7 miles around the river trail, then turned back. With three miles to go incorporated 10 x 100m strides. Sloppy and wet out with the sudden increase in temperature (40 degrees). Figured Id get a solid run in since tomorrow they're calling for 10" or so. Strides were difficult to get up to speed. calves were cold from running through splashing slush/water puddles.

Time of day 12:30 PM
Distance 16.40 mi
Shoe Supernova Sequence 5 (ASN)
Comments Belmont in reverse up Ridge, East Fairmount, Banks trail. Feeling much better than yesterday despite, snow, sleet, rain. Traction not too great throughout, very slick, but able to hold decent pace. Uphills were rough, very slippery. Running under bridge overpasses were the pavement was dry felt so uplifting with the pace increase however back to slick precautionary strides upon hitting open trails. Focused on running economy. Need to make March count to maintain hope for Boston.
